Why Take Our Floral Arrangement Classes?
Dorothy McDaniel and her team share what they’ve learned through years of working with flowers. Our instructors love to teach as much as they love to design. You’ll leave with practical techniques you can apply beyond the classroom.
When you arrive, your station is ready with fresh flowers, tools, and a container—all the materials you’ll need. You don’t need to bring anything or have prior experience.
Many participants join us to try something new, reconnect with creativity, or celebrate a special occasion. Beyond being a class, this is a fun, hands-on experience—and you get to go home with a finished arrangement and the knowledge to do it again on your own.
We limit the number of participants in each class to ensure a comfortable pace, individual guidance, and plenty of space.
Small class sizes allow our instructors to tailor their teaching to different experience levels within the same session; this creates a more relaxed environment where everyone feels welcome, engaged, and comfortable enough to ask questions!
What You’ll Learn in Our Classes
How to Build a Base: You’ll learn how to build a base using types of various greenery to set the shape of your arrangement and keep everything in place.
The Flowers That Work Best Together: We’ll show you how to group colors, mix textures, and create movement, so your arrangement looks full, natural, and harmonious—not stiff or overworked.
Seasonal Style Tips: We’ll show you how to adapt your designs to what’s in bloom and advise you of local greenery you might have available in your garden. In summer, expect bold colors and big statement blooms like sunflowers or dahlias. Fall brings richer tones, branches, and berries, while winter has us working with evergreens, amaryllis, and festive accents.
Ways to Add Personality: We’ll show you how to curate your own arrangement style by experimenting with shape, movement, and contrast.
