DOROTHY McDANIEL’S FLOWER MARKET

Allison & Kyle | Tidwell Family Farm

Allison and her mom came to us this past winter and asked us to do the flowers for Allison and Kyle’s wedding ceremony on a private farm in Oneonta, Alabama. We were thrilled to learn that Allison is actually a second shooter for photographer Jennifer Woodberry and Jennifer would obviously be shooting the wedding. She was generous enough to share the photos from such a lovely day with us!

Allison’s bridal bouquet was a garden inspired bouquet created with Escimo and Blush roses, yellow and lavender spray roses, baby’s breath, and a collar of salal (greenery).

Her bridesmaids wore lavender knee length dresses and carried clutch bouquets of Escimo roses, lavender alstroemeria, tangerine spray roses, white hydrangea, peach spray roses, pink wax flower, blush ranunculus, and yellow statice.

For the altar, we created two large centerpieces which were placed on our brown urns and pedestals. These arrangements included Blush, Cool Water, and Escimo roses, white hydrangea, lavender alstroemeria, baby’s breath, yellow statice, orange snap dragons, and lavender stock.

Allison’s family built a pergola for the couple to be married under. They also hung mason jars wrapped in burlap and lace along the backside to create a beautiful backdrop. Varying wedding flowers were used in the mason jars including tangerine spray roses, yellow statice, Blush roses, baby’s breath, lavender alstroemeria, blush ranunculus, and peach spray roses.

Kyle’s boutonniere was made up of coral and lavender spray roses with touches of baby’s breath and was wrapped in twine.

The family also created an amazing doorway for the entrance to the ceremony site. Ferns as well as mason jars with the wedding flowers were used to decorate the area.

08

Upon arrival to the ceremony guests picked up cones created from craft paper which were filled with rose petals to be tossed as the couple exited the aisle.

Church pews were brought in from Birmingham rental company P.E.W.S. – Purely Elegant Wedding Statements. Stumps with mason jars of the wedding flowers were used as pew markers and made a lovely statement.

The flower girls (adorable!!!) tossed rose petals from white wicker baskets decorated with lavender ribbon. We L-O-V-E the fact that they’re barefoot!

Allison and her family provided all of the décor for the reception, and they did a great job! This hutch used to display photos of Allison and Kyle is fabulous.

Thank you Allison and Kyle for letting us be a part of such a beautiful and lovely day. Congratulations again!
