Perri & John | Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Sometimes you receive photos from a photographer and you’re excited. In the case of Perri & John, we received their photos and immediately couldn’t wait to show them off! The couple was married on a stunningly beautiful day in early March at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Photographer Ann Wade Parrish captured the day and, as always, was gracious enough to let us have our pick of the images!

  Perri knew from the beginning that she wanted her florals to include as much green and white as possible. Designer Alan created a lush, garden inspired bouquet which included white anemones, green eyed roses, berzillia berries, putomayo carnations, Queen Anne’s lace, and Israeli ruscus. The stems were wrapped in an ivory satin ribbon which was finished off with an heirloom handkerchief and a locket with Perri’s new monogram.

The bridesmaids carried clutch bouquets of white anemones which complemented their blue dresses beautifully.

John’s boutonniere was a single stem of a green eyed beauty rose. This rose has cream petals with a green textural center. It was accented with green hypericum berry and wrapped in a ivory satin ribbon. His groomsmen’s lapels were adorned with an anemone. Their grey suits with navy tie really brought out the center of the bloom.

The adorable flower girl wore a hair wreath of baby’s breath, and she carried a white wicker basket that had baby’s breath and navy ribbon accents. She tossed petals down the aisle of coordinating wedding colors. The handsome ring bearer had a baby’s breath boutonniere.

“Pew markers” included tied bouquets of baby’s breath attached to the chairs with navy ribbon. As guests entered the garden, they were greeted with a large, chalkboard style display which took the place of the standard wedding program.

Two large urns flanked the aisle as guests were ushered to their seat. These arrangements included a stunning mixture of antique green hydrangea, bells of Ireland, green trick dianthus, green hanging amaranthus, Queen Anne’s lace, parrot tulips, white snap dragons, dusty miller, and miscellaneous greenery.

At the end of the evening, the newlyweds left through a tunnel of flutter fetti {tissue thin confetti which is biodegradable and a wonderful alternative to rice, birdseed, etc.}
