DOROTHY McDANIEL’S FLOWER MARKET

Laura & Billy | Dawson Baptist Church & The Club

Laura and Billy’s wedding was a perfectly planned event from beginning to end, largely in part of their fabulous wedding planner, Meghan Cease of M Elizabeth Events, who referred Laura and her mother to us! If it weren’t for wonderful vendors such as Meghan, we would not have the number of wonderful couples that we have!

Laura knew what she wanted from the beginning: bright autumn tones. For her bouquet, she wanted a tradition mounded clutch with bi color roses, orange garden roses, red and orange dahilas, green cymbidium orchids, Queen Anne’s lace, green hypericum berries, dusty miller, and mango calla lilies.

The bridesmaids in Laura’s wedding also carried clutch bouquets with similar flowers. Their bouquets included  bi color roses, purple aster, orange garden roses, craspedia, red and orange dahilas, green hydrangea, green cymbidium orchids, Queen Anne’s lace, green hypericum berries, dusty miller, gomphrena, and mango calla lilies. The colors blended beautifully against their champagne colored gowns.

Billy wore a white mini calla lily boutonniere accented with green hypericum berries while the groomsmen wore varying shades of autumn tones accented with leaves of dusty miller.

The sanctuary was decorated with an altar arrangement, candelabras, and pew markers made up of the wedding flowers including multiple shades of orange dahlias, orange sweetheart roses, mixed greenery, Asiatic lilies, blush stock, bittersweet, orange roses, hanging green amaranthus, red button mums, and green hypericum berries.

Andy Tolar of www.designproductionsllc.com created a stunning appearance for the Ballroom at The Club. As guests entered, the first thing they saw was the beautiful bride’s cake from Magnificent Cakes which was framed beautifully with the sheer drape from Design Productions. The drape was hung from the ceiling in a criss-cross pattern and draped to the floor to create “four corners”.

The cake itself was a four tiered buttercream cake with flowers in between each layer. The color scheme of the wedding was kept intact by using green cymbidium orchids, yellow, orange, and red dahilas, antique green hydrangea, cherry brandy roses, mango calla lilies, and purple aster.

The food table centerpiece was a large, airy arrangement which sat upon a large grey urn. The flowers included belles of Ireland, bittersweet branches, green hanging amaranthus, antique green hydrangea, a mixture of orange roses, orange and yellow dahilas, orange and yellow zinnias, craspedia, mango calla lilies, and more!

A table with appetizers was decorated with a large silver candelabra with cream pillar candles surrounded by mounds of the wedding flowers.

Guest tables had a mixture of three arrangements. The hi-boy tables used mounded cubes from the rehearsal dinner with refreshed flowers. This is a great way for brides to get multiple uses of their flowers! The first guest table centerpiece was a loosely mounded vase arrangement incorporating more orange and green tones than anything else. The second table arrangement was an airy mound of the wedding flowers atop a glass cylinder with a submerged stem of belles of Ireland. Hanging votive candles were attached to branches and brought ambiance to each table.

The couple set up photos of their family’s wedding pictures along the marble entrance to The Club. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were displayed here as well as the bride’s toss bouquet. Guests enjoyed getting a glimpse of previous generations’ weddings that brought Laura and Billy together!

Thank you again to everyone involved in making this wedding beautiful! We were thrilled to have been a part of it and wish you the best of luck in your future together!
