It is always a great honor to be approached by friends to design their flowers, especially when it is for their daughter’s wedding. Photographer Mary Margaret Chambliss was used to capture the day and we owe her huge thanks for sharing her work with us!

Bride Carra knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding. Soft tones, opulent blooms, and succulents were to play a large part in her décor…and it did!

Carra’s bouquet was a very classic and traditional mounded, clutch bridal bouquet with blooms of Sahara roses, white dahlias, cream astilbe, berzillia berries, ivory sweetheart roses, white ranunculus, tuberose, and dusty miller.

Her bridesmaids carried clutch bouquets wrapped in charcoal satin ribbon to match their gowns, and their flowers brought a bit more color to the arrangement. Soft pink roses, Vendela roses, berzillia berries, dusty miller, peach roses, succulents, and white dahlias were combined to create the soft palette Carra was looking for.

Clark’s boutonniere was a white ranunculus with berzillia berry foliage, and a single leaf of dusty miller. The rest of the gentlemen, including the ring bearer (adorable!) wore boutonnieres made of berzillia berries and lambs ear.

The same flowers and colors were carried throughout the church in pew markers, balcony pieces which were hung on the front of each balcony at Independent Presbyterian, as well as an altar piece which was suspended from the choir loft. Smilax vine was used across the railing to create  a lush, garden feel.

As guests arrived at The Country Club of Birmingham, the foyer table was covered in multiple height glass cylinders containing white stock, white snapdragons, floating candles, as well as votive candles.

One of the most beautiful details of The Country Club of Birmingham’s ballroom are the Georgian archways. We hung quite a few pomanders with a mixture of the wedding flowers as well as solid pomander balls of lambs ear and dusty miller in the archways.

Food tables were placed on either side of the ballroom to facilitate shorter lines for food service. Each table had a large arrangement in the wedding flowers placed upon our grey urns & pedestals. Each end of the table also had arrangements placed on tall cylinders.

Guest tables were adorned with a tall cylinder with submerged stems of dusty miller with a white, lighted lamp shade on top. Three smaller arrangements consisting of the wedding blooms were also on the table, and succulents were scattered on each.

The couple’s wedding cakes were crafted by Magic Muffin and were beautiful! The brides cake was a five tier button design with a mound of soft pink and cream sweetheart roses on the top tier. At the base, succulents were abundant!

Thank you again for choosing us to be a part of such a special day in your lives. Congratulations Carra and Clark!
